Stop! Look! And Listen!
People will give you lots of wedding day advice but the best is from real brides experience. A lot of brides complain that the day is all a blur. It goes by so quickly. There were so many things to do and people to see. They felt they were pulled in many directions. STOP! This is your moment, your wedding day. This is what you worked so hard for. Now STOP! Take a breath. Look. Take a mental picture. Now GO!.
The ceremony is over. You are married. You just took all those pictures. Now onto the reception, dinner, family, friends, dancing. You are on a schedule. Wait, wait. You just got married. STOP! YOU JUST GOT MARRIED!!!!! Take a few moments with your husband, grab some champagne, excuse yourselves to somewhere quiet and pretty, and let the ceremony sink in. Exchange how you felt, nervous, excited, happy, sick? Now tell each other how you feel now, happy, excited, lucky? Truly connect as one. The party can’t start without you. Then GO!
You are sitting at your head table and everything is a buzz of action. STOP! and take a few moments to take it all in, observe your family and friends there to help you celebrate your very special occasion. Let their love surround you. Take a mental picture. Better yet, have the photographer take a picture of what you are seeing so that you can relive this feeling. Okay, now GO!
It’s almost over. People are packing up. You are sad that it is ending. STOP! Its only the beginning. Take a moment and tell those that made your day so special how much you love and appreciate them. Look them in the eye, deep into their soul, squeeze their hands, and create a moment that you will both treasure. Now GO! Live your lifetime of happiness.
